Everyone deserves justice, fairness – never more so than when they are facing death. The current law in Ireland protects people from fear, suggestion, coercion and abuse. The experience of many countries has been that once euthanasia/assisted suicide are legalized, such laws are quickly extended to people who are not terminally ill. This conference will discuss this in the context of the current political debate around potentially changing the law.
